Whitehaven have confirmed the signing of journeyman prop Jamie Thackray on a one-year deal from 2020.
‘Haven become the 40-year-old’s 18th club, after a career that has seen rack up well over 400 games.
He had spells in Super League with Leeds, Castleford, Halifax, Hull, Crusaders and also spent a year in Australia, playing for Atherton Roosters and Tumut Blues.

He most recently turned out for Keighley last season and also had a two-year spell with Workington in 2012, but will now return to Cumbria for the 2020 season.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting the team,” he said. “I believe we have a good squad of players and there’s so much potential in Cumbria.
“I’m so excited to rip in and show my worth.”
