Warrington Wolves recall Championship star prior to clash with Leigh Leopards

Leigh face a tough test of their play-off ambitions as Warrington visit the Leigh Sports Village on Friday.

The last time the sides met, Warrington put on a show as they won 38-20; however they are now facing a very different Leigh team to the one they came up against in March.

Leigh come into Friday’s game in sparkling form. They have won their last five games, and the manner of these victories has made the rest of the league turn back and notice.

In these five matches, they have scored 152 points and only conceded 28. They will need to carry on their great attacking style if they are to down table toppers Warrington.

Adrian Lam has named an unchanged 21-man-squad for their game this week meaning the likes of O’Brien, Reynolds, Lam and Ipape will operate in the spine.

Warrington have set the benchmark this season, and in recent weeks have overcome tough tests. They ground out a tough win against the in-form Robins, and left it late as they knocked Catalans out
of the cup.

They face another tough test this week against Leigh, but will they pass this one?

Darryl Powell has named his 21-man-squad for the match, which sees Riley Dean recalled from Featherstone due to Josh Drinkwater’s suspension.

Paul Vaughan, George Williams and Sam Kasiano will all be looking to carry on their good form this season as they are in the squad whilst Josh Thewlis also misses the game this week.
