Wakefield Trinity play host to the Catalans Dragons on Sunday afternoon with both teams entering the game with three wins and three losses in their last six games. Wakefield had a tough pill to swallow after a 22-20 loss to the Warrington Wolves last time out whilst the Dragons will want to avenge their 38-18 loss to the Trinity earlier this month.
Last Saturday Chris Chester’s side blew a commanding lead with Tom Lineham’s late try denying them a famous win at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Wakefield will take positives from the loss after holding a 12-0 lead from exploding out of the blocks but they should have won the game after controlling it for the most part.
Chester has named his 19-man squad with two change from their defeat to the Warrington Wolves; Max Jowitt and Jordan Crowther withdraw with Joe Arundel and Matty Ashurst returning from injury for Trinity.
Last weekend the Catalans Dragons had a run of three consecutive wins before suffering 42-22 defeat at the hands of Champions Wigan. It was a tough defeat for the Dragons to take after been in contention for much of the game before conceding a flurry of late points at the DW Stadium.
Still without seven key players, Laurent Frayssinous has named an unchanged side; with players such as Greg Bird, Jodie Broughton and Krisnan Inu still out injured.
