Wakefield Trinity set for two major signings ahead of 2024

Wakefield Trinity have revealed their squad numbers for 2024 and it demonstrates the strength of their squad headed into the new season.

Trinity have awarded Jermaine McGillvary the number two shirt which he previously held at Huddersfield Giants. Meanwhile, fellow new recruit Lachlan Walmsley takes the number five shirt. Former Wigan Warriors centre Iain Thornley is the number four with young Oliver Pratt number three.

Luke Gale takes on an unfamiliar number six shirt having been number seven for most of his career. Mason Lino keeps the number seven shirt completing a spine alongside number one Max Jowitt and number nine Liam Hood.

Reported Leeds Rhinos target Harvey Smith takes on the number 26 shirt as the young hooker prepares for a big season at the club.

Wakefield have left numbers 18 and 19 vacant however pointing towards the arrival of two more new signings ahead of the new season.

Who these are likely to be remains unclear. Could they perform a dramatic u-turn and keep Lee Kershaw? This is unlikely.
