Wakefield Trinity Ladies make yet another rival signing

Wakefield Trinity Ladies RL have announced the signing of Hebe Forbes from Halifax Panthers for the 2022 season.

22-year-old Forbes has joined the likes of Rachel Eastwood, Phoebe Evans and Sophia Liu in signing for the club in the off-season.

After captaining Illingworth Dragons’ first-ever girls’ team before joining Huddersfield Giants’ under-19 and open age side before moving across to her hometown side.

Like Kacey Davies, Forbes spent the last few weeks of the season on loan at Trinity before making it permanent in the winter.

Speaking on signing for the club, she said, “I am delighted to sign for the club. There are great opportunities with a great group of girls.

“I’ve found it so much easier to settle into the squad this year, everyone is so ready for it and has the same goals.

“The team feels different this year.”

Wakefield Trinity Ladies head to Castleford Tigers in the first round of the Betfred Challenge Cup on 13th March.
