The Leigh Leopards continue to have problems with injuries and Lam gave an update on his son’s injury.

“Lachlan Lam had a massive laceration on his leg which needed 15 stitches. It is on the positive side of things because we thought it was his knee at first. We will add him to the group and will give him right until kick-off this week. He will miss a week at the most if he does miss this week.”

He also gave a worrying update on Tom Amone: “No one is coming back at the moment. It’s a one way door unfortunately. There is some concern over Tom Amone. He hurt his foot in the game.

“We didn’t think it was that bad at first but it’s looking like a little bit more trouble for us but we are getting him scanned and waiting for the results there.”

With the injuries mounting up, the question becomes: will the Leigh Leopards look the loan market yet again with players like Jake Bibby and others presently available for loan, the Leigh Leopards have options they could consider a move for a Super League player.
