Toulouse Olympique vs Hull KR: Team news, match preview and score prediction

George King plays for Hull KR

Hull KR’s up and down season continued last week as they were well and truly second best against Huddersfield.

That identified the work that Tony Smith still has to do if he wants to leave Craven Park on a high as it demonstrated the present gap between the Robins and the top four.

They’ll have a chance to close that gap against bottom club Toulouse who come into the game after a humbling against Wigan.

Team News

Toulouse are boosted by the returns of Justin Sangare and Romain Navarrete but the likes of Lloyd White and Andrew Dixon remain injured.

Hull KR will be without Ryan Hall and George King who are the latest to join Hull KR’s treatment room which has to be said must be packed now. Luis Johnson has had surgery after missing last week’s game due to a pectoral injury. The Robins were only able to name a 20-man squad. Making matters worse there is a rumour that Lachlan Coote could miss the game through injury and has not travelled to France.

Match Preview – Key Battles:

Corey Norman vs Mikey Lewis: Corey Norman is settling nicely into the swing of things at Toulouse and will be considered a danger man due to his creativity. He’ll be up against the always threatening Mikey Lewis whose ability to conjure something from nothing could be key to victory.

Nathan Peats vs Matt Parcell: Two top Aussie hookers will battle for supremacy in the middle of the field. Peats will look to command the game whilst Parcell will hope to use his pace and organisation to lead the Hull KR attack.

Where the game will be won and lost:

These two teams like to throw the ball around and play off the cuff rugby, so we should be in for a brilliant spectacle. You’d give Hull KR the edge but their injuries may see them lose some of that offensive bite.

Score Prediction: Toulouse Olympique 24-30 Hull KR
