Toronto to target former NRL star?

The Toronto Wolfpack may not be done poaching talent from other codes, as the club could be hijacking the Cowboy’s move for Valentine Holmes.

Canadian Super League side the Toronto Wolfpack are rumoured to be interested in former Cronulla Sharks star and current New York Jets player Valentine Holmes.

After Toronto announced the signing of former NRL and Rugby World Cup winning star Sonny Bill Williams, the Rugby League world has begun to speculate just who could be heading to the North-American side next, with Valentine Holmes seemingly an option.

First and foremost the Wolfpack most certainly have the money to make this signing as Holmes would be a marquee would be joining from another code, not another Rugby League club, similar to the Sonny Bill Williams deal.

Valentine Homes is also reported to be ready to head back to Rugby League after being cut from the New York Jets top squad, whilst he is linked to be heading home to North Queensland to sign with the Cowboys, a move to Toronto would be much easier considering the former representative player’s current living situation.

If he was to move to Toronto, he would be in an environment and surrounded by a lifestyle much similar to his current life in New York than if he were to move back to Australia.
