Huge Super League clubs set to make big appeal decisions on suspensions

A number of the biggest Super League clubs are set to make big decisions today other whether they want to challenge the charges brought against their players from a very feisty Rivals Round.

One club who will have a lot of thinking to do when it comes to considering whether or not they want to challenge the charges against them will be the Leeds Rhinos.

They have already lost one forward to injury  in the shape of James Bentley and will lose two more if the bans for skipper Cameron Smith and prop Justin Sangare stick.

Fortunately for the Rhinos ahead of their Super League clash against Warrington Wolves the Wire have also lost three forwards.

Joe Philbin and Zane Musgrove failed Head Injury Assessments against Catalans Dragons whilst Paul Vaughan has been given a ban. So, they too have a big call on their hands over whether to appeal.

St Helens and Wigan Warriors both have big games this weekend too. The Saints take on Catalans Dragons as the joint top two collide. Wigan have another derby against Leigh Leopards. In both games, Matty Lees and Tyler Dupree would be handy so could they appeal?

Wigan will be at the tribunal no matter what over Liam Byrne‘s Grade E charge for the red card against the Saints.

The final charge went to Huddersfield Giants star Harvey Livett. It would be surprising to see an appeal here given he was only fined.
