Three Super League players suspended

Following the latest round of Super League fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued penalty notices to the following players.

Warrington prop Sitaleki Akauola has been cited for a Grade C Dangerous Throw and banned for two games.

It means Akauola, barring a successful appeal, will miss the Wolves’ Challenge Cup semi-final against Hull FC later this month.

Meanwhile, Leeds half-back Richie Myler will miss one game after he was charged with Grade B Tripping.

Catalans forward Kenny Edwards was also handed a one-match penalty notice for Grade B Foul and abusive language at a Match Official.

Disciplinary round-up:

Richie Myler (Leeds) – Grade B Tripping – 1 Match Penalty Notice

Sitaleki Akauola (Warrington) – Grade C Dangerous Throw – 2 Match Penalty Notice

Kenny Edwards (Catalan) – Grade B Foul and abusive language at a Match Official  – 1 Match Penalty Notice

The following players received cautions:

Ben Jones Bishop (Wakefield) – Strikes with knee

Romain Navarette (Wigan) – Strikes with knee
