Super League star receives disappointing verdict after appeal

Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and Hull FC stars all landed themselves in trouble last night with the Match Review Panel as 14 players were charged including six players who were banned.

These included King Vuniyayawa, Kallum Watkins, Oliver Partington, Jake Clifford, Konrad Hurrell and Jacob Miller.

Castleford Tigers star Jacob Miller’s appeal has failed at tonight’s operational rules tribunal after a dangerous tackle against Warrington Wolves.

He received a yellow card for the tackle against the Wolves as Castleford lost 66-12 in a game that saw the Tigers lose their points difference advantage over Wakefield Trinity.

The RFL said:

“Castleford Tigers’ Jacob Miller has been unsuccessful in appealing against a 1 match ban for a Grade C Dangerous Throw. Miller pleaded guilty, but challenged the grading of the charge. The Tribunal found the grading to be correct.”
