Super League star makes bold claim as we approach the mid-way point of the season

St Helens vs Salford Red Devils in Super League

If anyone thought that Salford Red Devils’ 2022 campaign was a fluke they are slowly but surely being proven wrong in 2023 as the Red Devils continue to be in the play-off mix.

Their attack is maybe not as eye catching as last year but they are getting results.

Their brilliant spine continues to be key and one of the members of this spine, Ryan Brierley, has spoken about the club’s development on the field.

Asked on the club’s social media page about his form.

Asked if he thought it was the best of his career so far, he said:

“Yeah I do and I think that is more down to the players I am playing with and the coaches I’m under.

“I think what they are doing for the club is pretty special.”

He went on to brand the club’s coaches as the club’s best ever signings as he suggested the club will achieve massive success moving forward:

“You can talk about star players all you want but I think the best signings the club have ever made is them three as coaches.

“I think they’re taking the club to special places.

“It is not going to happen overnight. This is a three to five year plan and we’re only in the second year of it.

“We’re really happy with where we are at and hopefully we can keep on building.

“Nothing is won in May or June and hopefully we can keep on improving.”
