Super League side suffers massive blow

Salford Red Devils host Catalans Dragons in an interesting clash of styles on Sunday.

The Red Devils are an expansive side who thrive in warm and dry conditions meanwhile Catalans Dragons are a physical side who look to bully sides and dominate through the middle of the pitch.

The Dragons have lost three of their last four games after winning their first five games of the season.

They were beaten by the Huddersfield Giants last week whilst Salford defeated Castleford Tigers last week to move into the top six.

The Red Devils are looking to build on that position but will have to do so without star winger Ken Sio who is absent.

The good news is Oliver Partington has come through unscathed last week whilst Danny Addy, after an injury last week, is also included.

England called up forward Tyler Dupree is named in the squad as well ahead of next week’s international.

The game has been moved forward to 14:15 on Sunday to make a double header with the women’s game and will also mean the government’s emergency alert test will occur at halftime.

Catalans Dragons have also named their squad for the game but have been doing it tough with injuries in 2023.

Micky McIlorum is back in the squad and replaces Julian Bousquet.
