Super League side set to sign former NRL halfback

Salford Red Devils are set to sign former Canberra and New Zealand Warriors halfback Ata Hingano, according to adelaidenow.com.au.

The 24-year-old has been plying his trade with the Mackay Cutters in the Intrust Super Cup, but will leave his contract to join Super League side Salford for the rest of 2021, with an option for 2022.

Having earned eight caps for Tonga between 2016 and 2018, Hingano has also made 24 appearances in the NRL for the Warriors and Raiders.

The Red Devils are currently struggling in the top-flight of the English game, winning just one game so far in 2021.
