Super League forward’s loan move ends abruptly due to broken arm

It has been confirmed that Huddersfield Giants forward has broken his arm whilst on loan at Bradford Bulls ending his loan move at the club short.

This was confirmed by Bulls interim Head Coach Lee Greenwood who has taken the reigns since the departure of Mark Dunning.

“Yeah, he’s broke his arm has Nathan. We initially thought it might be some bruising but he’s gone for an x-ray and there was a fracture in his arm,” Greenwood confirmed of Mason’s injury on West Yorkshire Radio.

“So yeah, I think he’s getting a further scan just to see if there’s anything else in there as well. But at the minute it’s a fractured arm so he’s gone back to Huddersfield to get treatment, get him back to fitness and then we’ll have to speak to Huddersfield.

“He’s there player at the end of the day to see what happens going forward.”

In terms of replacements, Greenwood said: “Obviously we’ve got Michael Lawrence in the squad that we didn’t quite risk for Sunday. We’ve got Masse, AJ Wallace missed out. So there’s a few people in there jumping at the bit who want to be a part of us. We’ve got a team at the minute, which is good. So I’m sure whoever comes in will want to impress and keep their shirt.”
