Summer Bash fixtures confirmed

The RFL have officially announced the fixtures for the Summer Bash in 2020.

The Championship’s showpiece event returns to Bloomfield Road in Blackpool, where it has stayed since its inception back in 2015.

The event will be taking place on the weekend of May 30 and May 31.

Toulouse and London Broncos have confirmed they will not be taking part in the event this year, and instead will be taking part in a double header at the Stade Ernest Wallon, their new home. The second game will see Catalans Dragons take on Leeds Rhinos.

The first game in Blackpool will see two West Yorkshire sides doing battle as Batley Bulldogs play Dewsbury Rams. That is  a 3pm kick off.

Following that match is a battle between West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire as Halifax play York City Knights. This one kicks off at 5.15pm.

The final game on Saturday sees the second West Yorkshire derby of the day and its a big one as Featherstone Rovers play Bradford Bulls. The match kicks off at 7.30pm.

Sunday sees the North West sides take centre stage, starting off with Oldham’s return to Blackpool as they face Greater Manchester rivals Swinton Lions. That one kicks off at 1pm.

Then the only Yorkshire side in action on that day take to the pitch as Sheffield Eagles play newly-promoted Whitehaven. This kicks off at 3.15pm.

To round off the weekend, it is a repeat of last years showpiece match as Leigh Centurions take on Widnes Vikings, kick off at 5.30pm.
