St Helens star Konrad Hurrell has controversially been suspended after the Saints defeated Leigh Leopards in Round Three of the Betfred Super League.
Saints started the season with a win against London Broncos before Hurrell was absent against Huddersfield Giants in Round Two.
Round Three brought a tough test against Leigh Leopards where the Saints would find a way to win 12-4 to maintain their unbeaten start. Only Wigan Warriors also remain unbeaten but they have only played two games.
This leaves Saints at the top of the league as they look to regain their Super League title but their next game could be tough without Hurrell after his suspension for accidental head on head contact against Leigh Leopards.
This came as John Asiata avoided a ban.
Following this, St Helens made the following statement: “Following Friday night’s Betfred Super League match against Leigh Leopards, Saints’ #23 Konrad Hurrell has been issued a one-match penalty notice by the Match Review Panel. Hurrell was charged with a Grade B ‘Head Contact’ offence.
“This means that Konrad will not be available for selection for the Saints’ upcoming home clash against Salford Red Devils this Friday night (8th March).”
This suggests the Saints will be accepting the ban and not appealing.

Break your legs, NO charge, accidental head contact one game, flop with elbows no charge , retaliate to elbow flop one game. Am I being over sensitive here?

No comments from Wilkin about any other players receiving ban other than Bentley at Leeds.
It’s all about Leeds with him.

How many times can the RL allow Asiata get away with intentionaly tackling the knees and resulting in career ending thuggery.
Head clash which no one remembers 1 game ban? Back chat 1 game ban.
Along with Liam Moore you are ruining the game.
Get some ex pros on the committee listen to them and not what you think.
