Salford struck by worrying blow before Hull FC clash

Hull FC and Salford Red Devils have both moved star men into surprise positions for today’s clash on the OurLeague app.

Tony Smith has addressed the continued absence of Jake Trueman compounded by the loss of Ben McNamara by moving hooker Joe Lovodua into the halves.

Danny Houghton returns to the side to play nine as Brad Dwyer starts on the bench.

Meanwhile, another man capable of playing nine but most comfortable in the halves Chris Atkin has been named to start at 13 for Salford Red Devils.

Paul Rowley was only able to name a 19-man squad for the game today.

Rhys Williams is on the left wing as Joe Burgess continues his injury hit season.

However Salford have now had to change their side. Tyler Dupree has dropped out and onto the bench and King Vuniyayawa has come into the starting line up with Amir Bourouh on the bench suggesting Salford are now down to their last 18. This comes as Matty Costello drops out.

Turning back to Hull FC, Josh Griffin is in the centres for the injured Liam Sutcliffe.

With skipper Carlos Tuimavave still out, Cam Scott is of course the other centre.

Anyone wanting to watch the game can on the OurLeague app.

The early bird price is no longer available at ÂŁ4.95 so now it will cost any fans ÂŁ10 to tune in.

A win for Hull FC will see them move above the likes of Wigan Warriors and rivals Hull KR and be just behind 100% starters Catalans Dragons and Warrington Wolves.

Salford Red Devils meanwhile just have one win after three games.
