Salford hit out at Huddersfield after victory

Salford were 18-12 victors over Huddersfield last night, but the two were locked in a hilarious social media exchange.

The Red Devils pointed to the fact that their social media counterparts at the Giants had not reported on the final score, despite announcing that both Greg Burke and Leroy Cudjoe had been sent to the sinbin in the 79th minute.

The result left Salford breathing down Huddersfield’s neck in the Super League table and all but ended the Giants’ hopes of reaching the top six play-offs.

The Red Devils overturned a half-time deficit to win after Matty English had given the Giants the early advantage before Rhys Williams got the hosts on the board.

Second-half scores from Tui Lolohea and Jack Ormondroyd turned the match in the Red Devils’ favour, with Huddersfield’s only points in the second 40 minutes coming from the boot of Will Pryce goals as Salford sealed victory.
