Cas money boost

Castleford Tigers could receive up to £2 million in funds from the council, the Wakefield council has revealed. The Tigers have revealed in their own statement that this would be spent on improving the Jungle’s facilities. Read more here.

Wakefield Trinity have announced their latest proposals for the redevelopment of the Mobile Rocket Stadium in an interview on their website. It includes a remarkable turnaround of the venue. Read more here.

Leigh sign Warrington man

Leigh Centurions have confirmed the signing of Warrington Wolves outside back Keanan Brand. The Leigh club website confirmed the news this morning.

Super League table

Serious About Rugby League has done a prediction on how they think the Super League table will look at the end of the 2022 Super League season, with a few surprises in there. Catalans Dragons finished top back in 2021.

Hampshire rejects as SL move looms

Ryan Hampshire will not be a Championship player next year after rejecting Bradford, but The Full Eighty Minutes has revealed that a Super League move is looming. Read more here.

Tomkins rejects Leigh

Joel Tomkins has rejected Leigh Centurions in a twist of retirement, as revealed on the Wigan Warriors website. Tomkins was set to play for Leigh in 2022, but will not join Adrian Lam’s side. Read more here.

Leeds face departure

Leeds are set to lose Corey Hall to Wakefield Trinity, Leeds Live has revealed. Hall impressed during a loan spell with York City Knights at the end of the season, starring for the Championship club as they recovered their earlier dismal form.

Saints and Salford in partnership

Both St Helens and Salford Red Devils have made major waves in the sponsorship side of things and they have both announced yet another partner heading into the 2022 Super League season. Read more here.

St Helens have revealed both home and away kits on their website, with the away kit a radical new shade of colour. Read more on the home kit here and the away kit here.

Shaul future

Serious About Rugby League has revealed a huge admission on Hull FC’s Jamie Shaul and his future. He suffered a severe ACL injury in October 2020 and lost his number one shirt to Jake Connor.

Shock SL groundshare

Serious About Rugby League has reported on a shock groundshare in the works following a council meeting. It is the latest club to be plagued by stadium issues in recent times. It follows Hull FC’s dilemma that was reported by Hull Live as well as the latest on Salford Red Devils’ proposed move to Moor Lane.

Kelly racism row

Serious About Rugby League has revealed that Albert Kelly has been subject to racist Covid-19 protocols in Australia. A number of other stars Down Under have shared the post, too.

Peats’ new club

Serious About Rugby League has reported on Nathan Peats finding a new club after rejecting a move to a Super League side. Peats starred for the Huddersfield Giants towards the back end of the 2021 Super League season.

Beaumont revelation

Serious About Rugby League has revealed that a former Leigh Centurions forward has spoken honestly and openly about working under owner Derek Beaumont.

Story of drugs and suicide

An ex-Leigh Centurions forward has spoken to Serious About Rugby League about his shock battle with drug abuse and suicide attempts whilst playing rugby. He also acknowledged his mental health problems.

Wigan signing shocked

New Wigan Warriors signing Kaide Ellis has told Wigan TV just how shocked he has been in turning up at Wigan. He spoke about the weather as well as the workload during pre-season. Read more here.

Sene-Lefao confirmed

Jesse Sene-Lefao’s move has finally been confirmed by his new club. Sene-Lefao left Castleford Tigers at the end of the 2021 season after spending five seasons at the Jungle. Read more here.

Edwards’ unusual request

Serious About Rugby League has reported on Kenny Edwards being given an unusual request at the start of Castleford Tigers’ pre-season. Edwards has joined the Tigers on a one-year loan deal from the Huddersfield Giants.

Clubb’s new role

Ex-Wigan Warriors prop Tony Clubb has been appointed to a surprise new coaching role, according to Serious About Rugby League. The former Wiganer left Wigan at the end of the 2021 Super League season.

Trinity in for more

Wakefield Trinity are in the market for new players – if they are the right for the club, according to Wakefield chairman John Minards in an interview with Trinity TV. Trinity have already brought in the likes of Lee Gaskell and Liam Hood. Read more here.

New NRL forward on the horizon

A Wests Tigers second-rower could be on the wish list of Super League clubs after a new signing is seemingly going to push him out, according to the Sporting News. It remains to be seen who could fit him in their quota list though. Read more here.

Dwyer in list

Leeds Live has revealed a list of Leeds Rhinos stars who are out of contract at the end of 2022, with specialist hooker Brad Dwyer amongst them. The diminutive number nine has been a big hit at Headingley.

Cas lose star

Castleford Tigers have lost outside back Brad Graham to the Dewsbury Rams, the latter website has revealed. It is a major coup for the Rams with Graham originally signing a one-year deal with the Tigers. Read more here.
