Roosters withdraw offer for star player

The Sydney Roosters have released a statement that could foreshadow the end of star centre Latrell Mitchell’s time at the club.

The statement reveals that the Roosters have today officially withdrawn their contract offer for the centre, with the article going on to reveal the following:

“Latrell has expressed that he would like to explore his options for season 2021, however he remains under contract with the Roosters for season 2020.”

This doesn’t mean Mitchell will definitely be leaving the club, however the Roosters are now in quite the predicament.

As is common knowledge, the Roosters have multiple stars who are currently off-contract and if the Roosters wait for Latrell to make his decision before re-signing anyone else then they may end up losing a few players.
