Rohan Smith confirms Leeds Rhinos starlet will be at the club in 2024

Leeds Rhinos have a number of players off contract at the end of this year.

The future of Sam Walters has been a keen focal point and Rohan Smith has been open about wanting to keep the young prop who has reportedly gone to the open market.

Liam Tindall is another young player off contract whilst first team stars David Fusitu’a, Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer are all at the end of the contracts too with question marks over their futures.

Likewise with Zane Tetevano.

It was widely believed that Jack Sinfield was one of these players however, the young halfback is contracted for next year as confirmed by Rohan Smith this afternoon.

Asked about the future of Sinfield, Walters and Tindall, Smith said: “For starters, Jack is under contract for next year.

“The other guys Sam and Liam are players we would like to keep and we are working hard through our process to keep them and develop them with our group.

“There is a core of English players in our club that are growing and developing and there is more to come and hopefully their time will come.

“Sam has played some games this year and done a good job for us. Tindall has come in and has had an impact and done a really good job and moved his way up the pecking order.

“They are developing every week at a club they love and we hope that they will stay and they will be doing everything they can to stay as well.”
