It’s that time of the season when clubs hand deals to players that are out-of-contract in a bid to get them to stay.
Well, Leeds Rhinos still have some big hitters that are off-contract at the end of 2021 with the likes of Rhyse Martin, King Vuniyayawa and Callum McLelland having to sort their futures out.
Rhinos head coach Richard Agar, however, knows that such stars will have their futures sorted very soon.
“It’s all going on behind the scenes – we’re pretty comfortable we know where everyone is at,” Agar stated.
“There’s a couple of little ones we’ve still got to do and we know where we go from here – there’s a couple of either/ors, but we’re quite happy with how our squad is shaping up.”
Agar doesn’t know when the news on some of his squad’s future will come out as it is not up to him to dictate.
“We have to respect that this news comes out when it has to come out.
“It’s not for me to reveal the paperwork and there’s different ends that need tying up, so it’s not my place to say.”
