Revealed: How Kruise Leeming feels about Leeds Rhinos following exit

Many were surprised when the news broke that former Leeds Rhinos skipper Kruise Leeming was set to leave the club after three impressive seasons at Headingley.

His time there yielded a Challenge Cup, a Super League Dream Team place in 2021, an England call up and captaining the side in a Grand Final.

However, he stunned many when he put in a request to leave the club.

That said, speaking on BBC Five Live Leeming revealed how he really feels about the club following his move to Gold Coast Titans in the NRL:

“I’ve wanted to test myself against the top teams in the world and the top players. Super League has got  a load of them and NRL has got a load of them as well, it’s different, it’s out of my comfort zone and away from home. I couldn’t say no to the opportunity.

“The opportunity came up, these things happen in professional sport. If I’d been going to another Super League team it would have been more difficult, it would have been harder for me to do it.

“I’ve still got a lot of friends at Leeds and I’m still connected with Leeds so I’ll be supporting from afar but moving to the other side of the world where I’ve wanted to test myself was an easier move and easier decision for me to make, but it was still tough.”
