Price praises Catalans

Warrington Wolves Head Coach Steve Price has praised Catalans Dragons for their performance amid the travel disruption.

The Dragons were due to leave from Perpignan Airport, but a storm in the area meant they had to divert to Toulouse two hours away.

They made it to Liverpool John Lennon Airport just past 4pm, and went straight to the stadium in Warrington.

He said: “I thought they came with a really good intensity about their match play. On behalf of Warrington Wolves, I have to give a big pat on the back to Steve McNamara and Remi Casty for the effort they are putting in to keep the game afloat.

“It’s been hard for them. There’s no moaning and they get on with it.

“It was a good, tough game.”
