Star centre Stephen Crichton is reportedly set to sign a deal with Penrith worth $2.25 million, which would make him the highest-paid centre in the NRL.
James Phelps from The Daily Telegraph has reported that the multi-million dollar deal over three years has been agreed.
He’s played just 26 senior games, but the 20-year-old is predicted for greatness after a breakout 2020 season. Crichton registered 17 tries in 22 appearances as the Panthers just missed out on Grand Final glory.
The Bulldogs were believed to have offered the centre a lucrative deal, but now it appears as though Penrith have retained their man.
