Liam Marshall has scored an insane eight tries in the first three games.
He scored a huge four tries against Wakefield Trinity in Wigan Warriors’ thumping 60-0 win over them last week prior to scoring another hat-trick on Friday night as the Warriors nilled the Tigers.
He is often forgotten about when people are talking up the Warriors’ attacking threats.
Jai Field and Bevan French always seem to enjoy the limelight with Marshall overlooked.
He was also unlucky to miss out on the England squad last year after scoring tries for fun.
However he now seems to be getting the praise he deserves with Paul Sculthorpe and Phil Clarke both heaping praise on him on Sky Sports describing him at “one of the best finishers in Super League.
They said:
“He is one of the best finishers in Super League. You don’t have to be the quickest player, you just have to know how to finish chances.
“He is in the right place and right time and has pace to add to that too.
“Winning away was important for them .
“You have to admire Liam Marshall. He competes for everything and it comes up for him.”
It will be interesting to see if Marshall makes his way into Shaun Wane’s reckoning.
The winger could have had another try on Friday night but the official got in his way in a bizarre moment.
