NRL halfback linked with stunning Super League move

One exciting NRL star has now been linked with a stunning switch to Super League once again.

The player in question is Wests Tigers playmaker and Lebanon international Adam Doueihi. Doueihi starred for Lebanon in the 2022 World Club so has played rugby league in the UK including at Warrington Wolves and Huddersfield Giants.

A very talented player both in terms of athleticism and skills and would suit Super League and in the past has been linked with a move over to the UK recently.

He is out of contract at the end of the year and is one of the over 100 players who Super League players can approach ahead of the 2025 season.

In the last year of his deal, it is always possible that in the last year of his deal a small fee could secure an early release for 2024.

Doueihi has now been linked with the move to Super League again this time by Zero Tackle.

They believe that the 25-year-old will not be staying at Wests Tigers beyond 2024 and believe a player of his athletic ability would suit Super League and excel and there would surely be no shortage of suitors for the exciting spine player.

Zero Tackle hypothesised: “As we’re seeing more and more these days, young players see the Super League as a genuine option.

“Doueihi is still very much in his athletic prime. He would tear it up in England, for whichever club he landed at.

“We’ve seen Brodie Croft, Bevan French and Jai Field become superstars in the motherland and I have no doubt Doueihi could very much follow suit.

“Matt Moylan recently made the trip and had a try and a try assist from six touches this past weekend.

“Doueihi could very realistically set the competition alight and either settle in for a brilliant career in England or use it as a launching pad back into the NRL playmaking scene.

“English clubs re-setting their system with a young Aussie half with a lot to prove. It’s proven a winning formula recently for both player and club(s).

“It’s a huge move, especially so early in his career but it could be one that sets him up for the rest of his sporting life.”
