NRL clubs interested in Hull KR star signing as dream move looms

Tyrone May's brother, Terrell, has made it clear he intends on playing alongside his brothers.

The May brothers are again making the headlines with Hull KR star Tyrone May among them.

The May brothers all came through at Penrith Panthers with Tyrone helping the club to back to back Grand Final in 2020 and 2021 lifting the trophy in the 2021 Grand Final against South Sydney Rabbitohs.

After this, he joined Catalans Dragons where he would spend two seasons capped off with a Grand Final appearance and a move into the halves.

He has now joined Hull KR ahead of 2024. But as speculation swirls around his brothers’ down under, Australian publications are claiming that there remains an interest in May down under.

This is something the Robins will have to keep an eye on especially if playing with his brothers comes onto the table.

This is something Taylan has said he wants with his future currently unclear. The same can be said of Terrell as well though Sydney Roosters are interested in re-signing him.

“I don’t know what’s happening with the contract because I leave that with my manager,” Taylan said before training on Monday per NCA Newswire.

“Whatever happens, happens. I don’t mind (what happens).

“If I could then I’d probably (like to stay) but then again, I want to play with my brothers … all of them if I could.

“That’s definitely a goal for me. We’ve definitely spoken about it, and whatever that looks like for us is something that I don’t know what it looks like.

“I’m just happy to play here and finish off my contract. If they want to re-sign me, then I’ll let my manager deal with that stuff.”

Despite all this speculation, it is more than likely that May will remain at Craven Park in 2024 and 2025 after signing a two year deal at the club.

There are few clubs as forward moving as the Robins at present and their recruitment has reflected that with the arrival of May being just another symbol of their growing status within Super League.

Should May return to Australia at the end of 2025, he very well may return as a Super League Champion with Hull KR.
