Newcastle re-sign representative player

The Knights officially re-sign 2019 State of Origin winning front-rower

The Newcastle Knights have this afternoon officially announced the re-signing of first grade prop Daniel Saifiti.

This deal will see the representative player remain at the club until the end of the 2022 NRL season, with his current contract being extended by two years.

The 23-year-old debuted in 2016, with the 2019 season clearly being his best to date, as Saifiti would make his State of Origin debut, starting for New South Wales in the state’s do or die victory over Queensland in Perth, 38-6 in game two.

He would also be apart of the side’s series clinching victory in game three, which would see him become an Origin winning player in his New South Wales debut year and only his forth NRL season.
