New York looking to poach NRL stars

The bid by the New York City Rugby League Club to be included in a lower league English competition is likely to be granted by Christmas, with the club reportedly already targeting some big name NRL players who are coming towards the end of their careers.

The players in question include Benji Marshall, Keiran Foran, Darius Boyd, James Tamou, James Graham and others.

The NYCRL look to replicate their North American counterparts the Tornto Wolfpack in building a star studded squad in the lower tiers of English Rugby League and rising through the ranks to the Super League.
