Luke Gale has taken to Instagram to detail his recovery from his injury.
The English halfback had been ruled out for a minimum of six weeks following a medial cruciate ligament problem, but he has since been working hard to get back before the end of the season.
“This year has been a bit of a disaster on a personal level, from day one of pre-season when I injured my pec’,” Gale said initially.
“It’s devastating, but the only good news is it is an MCL – that’s medial collateral ligament – rather than ACL, which is your anterior cruciate ligament and means nine months off the field.
“I am laid up at the moment with an ice pack on my knee, but I have not given up hope of playing again this year.”
Gale was shown in a leg brace doing an exercise at his physio appointment.
