Last night Wigan Warriors were crowned Super League Champions but today was the question was who would join them, Leeds Rhinos, Warrington Wolves, Hull FC, St Helens and the rest of the big boys at the competition’s top table.

Second place Toulouse Olympique hosted London Broncos in the Championship Grand Final to determine Super League promotion.

The French side were naturally the favourites having finished second and almost unbeatable at home but London were in some superb form going into the game.

They defeated league leaders Featherstone Rovers comfortably last week to secure their place in the final and have won in a foreign country before to secure their place in Super League doing so in Canada against Toronto Wolfpack in 2018.

Meanwhile, Toulouse Olympique have history of securing promotion at home doing so against Featherstone in 2021.

The French side will have hoped that their home crowd could cheer them to victory and they started brilliantly with Mathieu Jussaume finishing a superb move down the right for the French side.

They were well and truly in control and scored again before the 20th minute with Josh Ralph backing up down the middle of the field after a great break down the left.

London had to score next and it was two of their stars who combined with Corey Norman kicking behind for Dean Whare to score. Norman missed the conversion leaving the score 12-4.

Before the break, Toulouse took another step towards Super League with a penalty to make it 14-4.

London needed a big second half and after a disallowed try they made it 14-8 as the sensational Alex Walker squeezed through to score from close range.

They had a chance to move level when a great move left so Iliess Macani cross in the corner but Norman again missed the conversion leaving it 14-12.

But on top, a similar move left for London so Macani score in the corner.

Norman converted to make it 18-14 and then they defended for their lives to secure promotion.

London will now join Champions Wigan, Catalans Dragons, St Helens, Leeds Rhinos, Warrington Wolves, Hull KR, Leigh Leopards, Salford Red Devils, Hull FC, Huddersfield Giants and Castleford Tigers in Super League.
