Leigh Leopards owner Derek Beaumont has say on whether Shaun Wane should stay as England Head Coach

There have been plenty of questions over ex-Wigan Warriors boss and current England Coach Shaun Wane.

Wane’s England looked like they could end a 50-year wait for the World Cup to be lifted by a British team based on the way they started the tournament by blowing Samoa away at St James’ Park.

However, they were then stunned by the same team in the semi-final at the Emirates Stadium.

This was remarkably only Wane’s eighth game in charge.

He is contracted to 2023 and many have questioned whether or not he should still be in charge for the next World Cup in 2025 in France.

Now though Leigh Leopards owner Derek Beaumont has weighed in on Wane’s future.

He took to Twitter to say he should keep his job. He said:

“I support Shaun Wane keeping the job! He will still be spewing over that semi final and will scrutinise everything he did and be self critical and same with his decisions and selections. Let him build for the next one no benefit to changing in my opinion. I hope we do right thing.”

Beaumont was responding to The Sun’s piece where Castleford Tigers assistant coach Andy Last also stated that Wane should be kept in the England hotseat.

However, the likes of Jon Wilkin and Brian Carney have suggested the contrary on Sky Sports.
