Leeds v Catalans: 21-man squads, injury update and TV details

Leeds and Catalans have both announced their 21-man squads for Friday night’s round 14 clash at Emerald Headingley Stadium (KO 7:45pm).

It’s set to be an interesting battle, with both sides in excellent form.

The Rhinos have won five of their last six, including a gritty victory over Warrington on Monday night which they ended with just 11 men on the field.

The Dragons, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last seven league matches and have the benefit of several extra days’ rest, after their game against Hull KR, scheduled for Monday, was postponed.

The game will be available to watch live on Sky Sports Arena, with coverage starting from 7:30pm.

Leeds Rhinos

Leeds are boosted by the return of captain Luke Gale from suspension, while Richie Myler (finger), Cameron Smith (hamstring) and King Vuniyayawa (head) are all back in contention after recovering from injury. Jack Broadbent drops out after picking up a foot problem against Warrington, as do fellow youngsters Morgan Gannon, Callum McLelland and Liam Tindall. Mikolaj Oledzki keeps his place despite a foot issue, while Alex Sutcliffe (knee), Jack Walker (foot) and Harry Newman (leg) remain unavailable.

Catalans Dragons

There’s three changes for the Dragons, with the suspended Gil Dudson dropping out alongside Lambert Belmas and Cesar Rouge. Joel Tomkins is back from his ban and Alrix Da Costa has recovered from a head knock, while Jordan Dezaria is also recalled. Sam Kasiano is named as he awaits the appeal decision of his one-match suspension. Michael McIlorum and Arthur Romano (knee) are still out.
