Lam praises 80 minute performance

Wigan Warriors Head Coach Adrian Lam has said their win against Salford was their first full 80 minute performance of the season.

The Warriors thrashed a changed Salford Red Devils side 58-12 at the Totally Wicked Stadium for their third straight victory.

Lam praised the players for the performance.

He said: “Tonight we were outstanding. I was really pleased with the players. It was our first real 80 minute performance of the season.

“We had a really good win against Warrington and were on the front foot. Sometimes you do not know how it will work out, coming back after a break.

“It was a different win. We made sure to tick all the boxes. Our impact at the start was good, and gave us the platform to perform like that.

“Tonight was about giving an opportunity to some who hadn’t played for a few weeks. We needed that balance between youth and experience.”
