Kevin Sinfield’s fundraising effort hits over £2 million

Kevin Sinfield’s fundraising efforts for #TheExtraMile have now hit over £2 million.

Throughout his career, Oldham-born Sinfield has hit the headlines in every way.

Whether that was in the shape of seven Super League titles, kicking more goals in the competition than anyone else or becoming the sport’s third most prolific point scorer ever, Sinfield was etched into the history books like no other sportsman before or after him.

However, the landmarks he’s achieving these days mean so much more. When running seven marathons in seven days to raise money to help fight against Motor Neurone Disease – the disease his friend and former teammate Rob Burrow fights admirably day by day – he raised £3 million.

And, he has raised another staggering £2 million in his latest quest when he ran 101 miles from Leicester to Leeds to help raise enough money to find some way of treating MND which his friend Rob Burrow has suffered with since November 2019.
