A fantastic weekend of Challenge Cup rugby has been and gone.
Hull KR, St Helens, Huddersfield and Wigan all booked their places in the semi-finals which will take place at Elland Road on May 7th.
With such a big game now sitting on the horizon for these clubs and with a busy Easter period around the corner, every team who played on the weekend will have been hoping to come away unscathed in terms of injury but that was not the case.
Five of the eight teams who played this weekend ended Sunday with new injury concerns alongside a number of players who played on despite knocks such as Sam Wood, Adam Swift and Josh Jones whilst the likes of Jordan Abdull passed their HIAs.
There’s a high profile injury with Man of Steel Sam Tomkins potentially facing time on the side lines which could be damaging for the Dragons’ title crusade. Meanwhile, the in form Mikey Lewis is now a doubt for the Hull derby.
Iain Thornley’s injury woes continue as he went off for Wigan whilst Castleford could lose two of their outside backs to injury. Hull FC could also lose Andre Savelio for a spell as he went off for the Black and Whites on Saturday.
