Hull FC boss Tony Smith has named his 21-man squad to face Hull KR in Thursday’s Betfred Super League season opener.
The Black & Whites take on the Robins in front of what will be the competition’s biggest opening night attendance for over 17 years, and the club’s biggest Round One attendance in the Super League era.
Smith has named several new faces in the squad, all of whom are set to make their competitive club debuts; Fa’amanu Brown, Herman Ese’ese, Franklin Pele, Jayden Okunbor, Jack Ashworth and Morgan Smith are all named – Jack Walker is also in line to make his second debut for the club.
Cam Scott and Danny Houghton, both of whom left the field in the Airlie Birds’ final friendly against Wigan, are included having recovered from knocks sustained in the game.
The Black & Whites are without Liam Tindall, Carlos Tuimavave, and Brad Fash through injury, while Jake Trueman and Mitieli Vulikijapani continue their recovery from longer-term issues.
Time is running out to secure tickets for the mouth-watering fixture, with just limited South Stand (reserved) and West Stand Upper Tier tickets remaining across the MKM Stadium.
