Seven rugby league games live on TV this week

Channel 4 TV Cameras at an empty Headingley Stadium.

After a record breaking week of rugby league in which attendance records fell all across Super League, we get another brilliant week of rugby league on TV.

Unfortunately there isn’t a full Super League schedule of all six televised games but the games that we do have are absolutely brilliant.

The NRL continues down under and following last night’s return of the Championship to Viaplay, there’s another serving this week.

Thursday 13th April

Salford Red Devils vs Castleford Tigers: 8:00pm on Sky Sports Arena

The first of this week’s Super League action is a trip to the AJ Bell stadium where Paul Rowley’s Salford host Castleford Tigers. With Castleford coming off a win over rivals Wakefield the game looks a lot more competitive than had they lost, and a second consecutive win for Cas could be enough to secure Andy Last the head coaches job permanently. Meanwhile Salford will look to string two wins together for just the second time all season.

Friday 14th April

Manly Sea Eagles vs Melbourne Storm: 11:00am on Sky Main Event/Arena
Warrington Wolves vs Wigan Warriors: 8:00pm on Sky Sports Arena

The first of this week’s NRL action sees two sides with contrasting form meet. Manly are coming off three consecutive losses, two of which came during golden point, whilst the Storm head to Manly with three wins on the spin. As for the Super League action it’s 1st vs 2nd for a second time in a week. Warrington host Wigan at the Halliwell Jones with both sides coming off impressive wins over Catalans and St Helens respectively. The game of the season so far?

Gold Coast Titans vs Brisbane Broncos: 10:35 on Sky Sports Arena

Saturday’s action sees the back-to-back champions Penrith travel to Newcastle to face Jackson Hastings and Dom Young, both of whom have been in good form of late. The later game gives Super League fans a chance to see how Kruise Leeming is fitting in with his new club as Gold Coast host Herbie Farnworth’s top of the table Brisbane.

Sunday 16th April

The women’s Super League kicked off this weekend with a record attendance at Headingley as reigning champions Leeds Rhinos fell to defeat at the hands of York Valkyrie.
