Super League match official Robert Hicks has been chosen by the RFL to referee Saturday’s Grand Final between Wigan and Warrington .
It’s the second showpiece final Hicks will have taken charge of this year as he also officiated at the Challenge Cup final where Warrington lost to Catalans Dragons meaning he joins a select group of officials to do both major finals in one season . This will be the Oldham referees second Grand Final having taken charge of the 2016 final between the same two clubs .
Richard Thompson and Chris Kendall have been appointed touch-judges, with Ben Thaler as video referee.
