Head coach on the move at the end of 2021

Veteran coach Wayne Bennett is a wanted man in Brisbane for a number of head coaching roles for 2022, but won’t make a decision until September of October.

The new Brisbane franchise as well as a potential return to the Broncos look the most appealing, though Bennett held his cards close to his chest.

“It (the new franchise) holds appeal to me, but there are other opportunities for me as well,” Bennett said.

“I’ll just wait and see and see where it all goes.

“That is the only definite thing I can tell you about my future. I’m definitely going back to Brisbane at the end of the season.

“I intend to stay there and what happens after that I don’t know.”
