Grand Final star keen on the Cowboys?

Overnight reports surfaced that highly sought after NRL centre Latrell Mitchell “wants” to move to the North Queensland Cowboys, with the Townsville side interested in the player.

This move would however call into question the Cowboys’ reported $1,000,000 deal for New York Jet and former Cronulla Sharks player Valentine Holmes.

Most rumoured price tags for Latrell Mitchell are at least $1,000,000 a year, Holmes would likely come at a similar price if not more and with Jason Taumalolo currently on $1,000,000 at the Cowboys, there is no way they can afford both players.

The Cowboys have also very recently signed another first grade quality centre in Esan Marsters from the Wests Tigers, and although they could play as a centre pairing, there are now more important positions the Cowboys should be looking to improve.
