Giants need to be smarter, says Robinson

Huddersfield Giants interim Head Coach Luke Robinson has said his side need to be better in the crucial moments.

The Giants pushed Warrington hard, and led at the start of the second half, but couldn’t see the game through, losing 19-12.

He also said he believes his side are not far away.

He said: “We have been in a few matches now were we havent been able to hold our nerve.

“There was three key moments of the game, where if we handled them differently were we could have won.

“You only become resiliant when you face adversity. When you come out of the other side on a tight game, that is how you become resilient.

“We have to fight and scrap our way to one of those victories.

“We have lost so many games by small margins, it does feel like we are miles away sometimes.

“We have the making of a really good side, but we have just fallen short on too many occasions this season. We played well in the first half, we should have been level. We need to be smarter.”
