Four potential destinations for former Super League Champion as exit all but confirmed

Jimmy Keinhorst has had an interesting career.

Few players can say that they are both a German international and a Super League Champion.

Picked up by Leeds Rhinos in 2012 after impressing at Leeds Beckett University, he was thrust in at the deep end playing in the Challenge Cup Final.

A squad player at Headingley, the centre/second-row produced arguably the club’s most important assist in the 2015 Grand Final as he set Josh Walters up for the winning try that sealed the treble.

In 2019 he joined Hull KR but his time at Craven Park is up, so where to next for the German?

Wakefield Trinity
Keinhorst spent the entire 2014 campaign on loan at Belle Vue and did a very handy job. He already knows the club and he would provide them with work rate and character in their re-build. His versatility would also be vital.

Castleford Tigers
Another club Keinhorst has played for on loan, he scored for the Tigers against former club Leeds Rhinos in 2021. He again would give them could versatility and depth as they begin a rebuild of their own.

Hull FC
Another Super League club undergoing a rebuild under one of Keinhorst’s former coaches in the shape of Tony Smith. Could the pair reunite as Smith puts together a new look squad?

Championship Clubs
Keinhorst’s experience and character would also make him the ideal signing for any Championship club or to any newly promoted side. He starred for Keighley Cougars on dual registration this year.
