London Broncos can confirm Romain Navarrete has been released from his contract to enable him to return to his family in France.
The 27-year-old prop signed for the Broncos from Wigan in January and was a regular in our matchday squad.
His return to France signals the end of a five-year stay in the UK during which time he also played for Wigan Warriors, Swinton Lions and Wakefield Trinity.
Tom Tsang, interim head coach of London Broncos, said: “We’d like to thank Romain for his contribution to London Broncos this season.
“Despite the challenges of COVID-19 and living away from his homeland, Romain applied himself professionally across all levels of the club. He leaves the Broncos with our very best wishes for the future.”
Navarrete added: “I would like to thank Jason and David for granting me a release from London Broncos. It has been difficult over the last 18 months with COVID-19 and not seeing my family due to all the restrictions and I am looking forward to going home to France.
“Thank you to all the boys, the coaching staff and the fans, and I wish you all the best for the rest of the season.”
