Five Super League stars who WILL leave to the NRL in 2024

This year we have seen the likes of Morgan Smithies and others leave Super League to join the NRL.

This is an inevitability every year and as we head towards 2024 we have predicted five Super League players who will leave Super League to join the NRL over the next 12 months.

Lewis Dodd

Out of contract at the end of the year, the already present NRL interest in Dodd is set to increase. The halfback is reportedly keen on making the move and many clubs are interested in signing the halfback who could have signed for Wests Tigers this year but was advised against this by Mike Rush. He has an option to extend his deal at Saints till 2026 but the lure of NRL clubs who are desperate for halfbacks could tempt him.

Tom Johnstone

Another player out of contract who will reportedly leave Catalans Dragons at the end if his deal, the winger has been linked with a move to Wakefield Trinity but Serious About Rugby League have revealed that NRL clubs are interested. He deserves his shot down under and would be a real success.

Josh Drinkwater

Another halfback who is out of contract and is exactly what NRL clubs need at the moment. He will likely want to have another shot at the NRL after a brief spell there at the start of his career. He is a great organiser and will be in high demand.

Siua Taukeiaho

This one is an easy one. He could be there within a matter of weeks. He was supposed to sign for Canterbury Bulldogs on a two year deal but failed a medical. He wants to return home due to personal reasons and the club are looking for other targets to take up a final quota spot.

Rodrick Tai

A player who signed for Warrington before real NRL interest from the Dolphins emerged. Only on a one year deal, he could make the move at the end of the season assuming the Dolphins maintain their interest. What could tempt him to stay is the fans at Warrington and Sam Burgess’ vision.
