The England Women’s (EWPS) and England Women’s Knights (EWKPS) Elite Performance Squads will be announced later this week.
The National Performance Squad was confirmed back in March, ahead of the three-game Yorkshire v Lancashire Origin series, which Lancashire went on to win 2-0.
The players’ performances in those games will contribute heavily to the choices made by head coach Craig Richards and Knights head coaches Paul Sculthorpe and Lois Forsell.
? Lancashire claimed a 2-0 victory in the Pre-Season Women’s Origin Series as they ran out 23-0 winners in a dominant display in game three at Weetwood.

The aim of the Origin series was to replicate a World Cup-type environment, with the three games being played within eight days, as the side continue to build towards next year’s home World Cup.
“We are very happy with the squad selection.” Richards told Serious About Rugby League. “The players’ performance during the Origin test showed pure determination.
“The finalised squad is looking really strong. We have selected some new additions, one being a non-Super League player who has shown great diversity to seal her position.
“We have remained loyal to the previous players and added new additions that we believe can move us forward onto the 2021 World Cup.”
