Daryl Powell is one of the household names in rugby league, and, after almost nine years in the job at Castleford, he will be moving to Warrington at the end of 2021.
However, the former Leeds and Featherstone boss has been linked with the England national role in the past few years and he had his say on Sky Sports’ Golden Point Podcast about whether a future position would be considered.
“It’s the pinnacle of coaching, Shaun Wane is doing the job at the moment and he’s doing a great job he just needs to play some games!
“I never really reach out too far in front of me but I like to get my focus in and put my heart and soul into it.
“What happens in the future, opportunities come around and you decide whether they are right for you or not so we’ll see.”
