Chester praises squad after third straight win

Wakefield Trinity Head Coach Chris Chester has praised his side after they recorded their straight Super League win against Leeds Rhinos.

Trinity were impressive, as they claimed a 30-6 win at the Totally Wicked Stadium, and there were several aspects of the performance that impressed Chester.

He said: “We were a team full of energy tonight. They had that 15 minute period in the second half where we came up with a few errors. They threw a lot at us, and to come away only conceding six points is really satisfying.

“The halves guided us around well. We played without fear, and moved around the ball well.

It’s really pleasing, the first time we have won three in a row for a long time. Its frustrating as a coach- we know we can beat anyone on our day.

“Some people don’t understand what these lads have gone through to fulfill fixtures. The players were all together and united in saying they want to finish the season.

“When confidence is down, you look for excuses. But the best weeks have been the last few where we have all of our best players available.”
